Dave started his career with BAE Systems in 1984. He has been with the Company over 30 years and during this time has occupied a number of roles within the Air Sector.
Dave is currently Manufacturing Director - Air at BAE Systems. The role covers functional responsibility for all the Manufacturing Activities within the Air Sector spanning people, process, systems, governance and physical activities as well as operational responsibility for the manufacture of the Hawk & Typhoon Products. In this role, Dave has overseen a number of strategic site development programmes with the establishment of critical facilities in support of the UK Air Sector Operations. Dave is also responsible for the development and delivery of industrial solutions in support of new business and export campaigns.
In 2010 Dave received the Be Inspired Business Award (BIBA) Business person of the Year award, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) North West award for Design & Innovation and the North West Regional Development Agency award for Best Practice, the latter two being for the site master plan and developments at BAE Systems Samlesbury site.
In conjunction with academic institutes and Government bodies, Dave continues to lead the businesses undertaking in transitioning the Air Sector systems, technology and people in the Manufacturing business for the next generation of BAE Systems air vehicles and services.
