100 Years of MACH
The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is pleased to confirm the dates for the Centenary MACH exhibition as Monday 16 April to Friday 20 April, 2012. The show, owned and organised by the MTA, will be held at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. MACH is the UK’s premier manufacturing technologies event.
The biennial exhibition, which falls in an important year for the UK, marks a momentous anniversary for the MTA as it will be 100 years since the first MACH show was staged in Earl’s Court, London in 1912.
Graham Shearsmith, MACH Exhibition Manager for the MTA said, “Planning for the 2012 show is already underway. We will be building on the successes of the most recent show held in June this year, and working on areas of improvement to make 2012 bigger and better.
“For 2012, we hope to increase representation of tooling, CAD/CAM and sheet metal machinery industries – at the same time as taking on feedback from visitors regarding their desire to see sub-contractors represented at the show. We hope to do this through launching a Sub-Contractor Zone, which will join the very successful specialist Zones that debuted at MACH2010.”
In 2010, MACH hosted 446 exhibitors covering over 18,300m2 of space through Halls 4 and 5 at the NEC. As well as welcoming over 20,000 visitors to the show, MACH2010 also welcomed the Duke of York (the UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment), and the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable MP, plus his Deputy, Mark Prisk MP, who together took the time to join industry representatives for tours and a roundtable discussion.
