Visit MACH - new Education Zone launches for MACH 2012
ENCOURAGING TALENT IS ONE OF THE MTA’S KEY PRIORITIES – WE AIM TO CREATE LINKS BETWEEN THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY AND OUR MEMBERS, AS WELL AS THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE.
In 2012 the Education & Training Zone which will bring together teachers, students and industry like never before. Using the Education & Training Zone as a focal point, the MTA aims to inspire, prepare and motivate the next generation of British engineers through a rewarding experience within the MACH show.
The Zone will be used as a focal point to engage with the education sector, as well as providing an interesting and exciting visitor attraction. It will be designed to be inspirational, presenting manufacturing and engineering as a positive and stimulating career choice. The Education & Training Zone will further be used as a launch pad into the main halls where the real engineering is showcased.

Educational Tours
As part of the Education & Training Zone programme at MACH2012, the Manufacturing Technologies Association and the Design and Technology Education Partnership will organise and run managed educational tours for 14-16 year olds, with a focus on those students studying Manufacturing and Engineering Diplomas.
The tour programme will feature a session in the Education & Training Zone, with hands-on activities and live demonstrations, as well as a professionally led seminar. The tours will demonstrate key manufacturing processes around the main halls to create a memorable educational visit.
