Triple presence for Hardinge at MACH 2012
Hardinge Machine Tools is maximising its presence at MACH 2012 with two stands of its own and a machine tool demonstrating workholding equipment on the Micron Workholding stand.
The main Hardinge stand - number 5438 in Hall 5 - will feature four Hardinge machine tools in addition to top end Biglia and Quaser machines while the second stand - 4021 in Hall 4 - is dedicated to Hardinge workholding products and promoting the recently launched ‘ShopHardinge’ concept. All machines on the Hall 5 stand will be performing live demonstrations.
The main stand in Hall 5 will also feature grinding machines from the world leading Jones & Shipman and Kellenberger ranges.
The Hardinge machines being featured are an XR1000 5 axis machining centre, a T42 Super Precision T series turning centre, a Bridgeport GX600 VMC and a GS150 CNC lathe. In addition, Hardinge is featuring a Biglia Smart Turn ‘S’ multi-axis turn-mill centre and for the first time in the UK the Quaser MF400C, a five axis multi-face machine which features both a tilting and rotary axes. Hardinge is the main distributor for both Biglia and Quaser in the UK.
“The theme of the stand is to show visitors the breadth of machine tools on offer from Hardinge in the UK” explains Martin Doyle, Hardinge UK sales and marketing manager. “A machine such as the GS150 is a highly adaptable ‘all rounder’ in the machine shop whereas the XR 5 axis machine, the T42 Super Precision and the Biglia Smart Turn and Quaser machines are up there with the very high end models.”
The workholding stand in Hall 4 will be featuring for the first time a Hardinge designed and manufactured gear driven 5th axis table. Having a dedicated colletted spindle, this unit will be particularly suited for use with Hardinge 5C tooling with benefits being better clamping options amongst others.
Visitors will also be able to see live demonstrations of how to access the ShopHardinge on-line store with its 65,000 product inventory.
Finally, on the Micron Workholding stand - 4005 in Hall 4 - a Bridgeport GX480
VMC will be demonstrating their products. The 480 machine has established a reputation for outperforming the average machine in its class and offers fast rapid rates, high axis and spindle acceleration/deceleration, and a powerful Fanuc control.
